AMICALL Emergency Call-Out System
The Amicall product provides fast, efficient and automated call-outs of personnel and resources in the event of crises and emergencies.
Amicall.Net is a Norwegian developed software designed for warning and mobilization situations, to call the staff if an emergency occurs, or other situations where you want to alert multiple people at once in a quick and secure way.
Amicall.Net is a flexible system that gives you complete control and visibility throughout the notification process, – in a robust, secure and user friendly manner.
An operator can initiate a notification at the press of a button. After that the software/system automatically handles the delivery of:
- Voice/speech messages
- SMS messages
- Fax
Amicall.Net is also designed to accept feedback from people in relation to date status reports on call-outs and the ability to set up call-outs in relation to the duty shifts or similar.
Amicall.Net can be configured in different ways, from being installed on a computer to be distributed among different machines in a network. This flexibility allows the users to choose by themselves a solution that fits their needs.
Amicall.Net is originally designed to meet the strict requirements that apply to a mobilization system in connection with emergency and critical situations on large facilities, but there is nothing wrong with using the system on a smaller scale.
Amicall.Net stands out from other suppliers in that it is based on “In-house hosting”, where the customer owns and has full control over clients and servers, level of redundancy, geographic location, and the fact that they do not have to store any sensitive data and personal information at an unknown third party.
Standalone
Amicall.Net (client and server) installed on a computer ensures an easy installation without any special requirements to the network structure. This type of installation can be vulnerable to faults that might occur during mobilization. If this computer fails both the server and the client go down, which means that you do not have anything to fall back on if a critical error should occur. By doing this type of installation you will also go to this specific machine if you want to start a mobilization.
Client – server solution
Amicall.Net is installed on multiple machines. This is the most flexible and robust solution, where one installs multiple clients that can connect to one or two (Amicall.Net Enterprise solution) servers.
If the Amicall client is installed on several machines, and preferably in multiple locations, it will be more accessible to users, while one can make call-outs from another machine if one of the client machines fail.
If an Amicall server is installed, an active mobilization could proceed even if one of the clients fails. Here the system will be vulnerable in terms of a failure on the server.
Installing two servers (Amicall Enterprise solution) makes it possible to run the mobilization even if one of the servers is having problems. This, combined with several clients, makes the most flexible and robust solution and is recommended for critical installations.
